CAPABILITIES AND PROCESSES
Lexco’s expert-designed processes, optimal materials, skilled employees, and advanced quality control ensure that we are able to meet, and commonly exceed, the needs of almost any industry.
EXTRUSION
We specialize in coating cables with polyvinyl chloride (PVC), nylon, and high-density polyethylene (HDPE) to meet your aesthetic, durability, or safety requirements and use laser micrometers for OD measurement to ensure a top-quality final product
SWAGING/CRIMPING
Our tooling inventory and hydraulic presses can accommodate most end fittings including spherical, cylindrical, and hex profiles for swaging and crimping in the fabrication of your wire rope assembly.
WIRE ROPE CUTTING AND
CORDAGE CUTTING
To prevent fraying, we cut fiber rope and bungee cords with hot blades and have an additional automatic hot knife cutting capability for use with webbing.
CABLE COILING
We can coil both coated and uncoated cable on spools as well as pre-cut either type of cable into coiled assemblies at your preference.
DIE CASTING
We zinc die-cast our custom cable end fittings in-house, including barrels, balls, and eyes to provide you with only the highest-quality finished product.
CNC
Our machine tool department specializes in Swiss-type CNC automatic lathes to manufacture and modify fittings in-house and ensure tighter control of tolerances, reduced lead times, increased customization, and cost savings.
ENGINEERING AND QUALITY
Our engineering department utilizes AutoCAD and SolidWorks software to document and guarantee that every assembly we make has the proper tolerances and specifications while our quality department uses calibrated tools to inspect all productions and ensure excellence.
PROOF-LOADING
AND PULL-TESTING
We offer pull-testing capabilities for proof-loading and can load up to 180,000 pounds in-house to meet specific military specifications, such as MIL-DTL-5688, and destructive pull-testing requirements.
DISTRIBUTION AND FULFILLMENT
We ship orders directly to job sites, businesses, or individuals and also offer just in time services for our customers, including Kanban releases. We are also EDI capable to allow for convenient release scheduling.
RE-REELING
We can re-reel wire rope into coils as well as on to numerous types of master reel materials including, plastic reels, metal reels, fiberboard reels, and wood reels.
LABELING AND LASER ETCHING
We offer detailed labeling, engraving, and laser etching services for the inclusion of information such as part designation, strength, manufacturing date, and more, directly onto your assembly and can meet MIL-STD-130 identification requirements.
PAINTING, COATING
AND FINISHING
Our in-house painting services are always available for spraying products with MIL-PRF-16173 Class II Grade I corrosion prevention compound as well as a variety of colors for aesthetic or assembly verification purposes.
