Lexco® Cable Vice President Appointed to the TMA Board of Directors
Lexco® Cable, a leading wire rope, cable, and bungee cord assemblies provider, is pleased to announce that David Karbin, its Vice President and third generation of family leadership, has been appointed to the Technology and Manufacturing Association (TMA) Board of Directors. The appointment is a significant achievement, reflecting Karbin’s commitment to advancing the manufacturing industry in Illinois.
TMA is a non-profit trade association representing over 1,000 small and mid-size precision manufacturing and supplier companies in Illinois. Founded in 1925, its mission is to promote the interests of the manufacturing industry by providing resources, education, and advocacy for its members.
When asked about his TMA membership experience, Karbin stated, “The shared interests and challenges of TMA manufacturers create comradery among members. It’s wonderful to see so many people working together to promote common goals.”
Lexco became a member of TMA in 2014. Since then, TMA has been a valuable resource providing training, recruiting, networking, and consulting services.
“I’m thrilled to serve an organization that continues to provide insurmountable value to Lexco and our customers,” Karbin said. “As a TMA board member, I look forward to giving back—collaborating with other industry leaders to support the interests of Illinois manufacturers.”
During his two-year term, David will develop TMA’s diverse portfolio of benefits and services, including initiatives related to community, information, training, resources, and advocacy. He will also provide leadership and guidance to TMA members. “I look forward to gaining executive experience while at the same time helping TMA meet its goals,” Karbin stated.
Karbin, the grandson of Lexco founders Harold and Helen Karbin, joined the family business full-time in 2003. As the vice president, he is responsible for sales, marketing, and general management.
