The Challenge

A customer in the retail security industry requested that Lexco^® Cable produce a coil assembly for a specific application.

The Solution

The coil assembly was constructed from 1/16″ diameter aircraft cable in a 7 x 7 construction, which was chosen for its balance of strength and flexibility. The wire rope featured stamped eyelets installed at both ends. Our comprehensive in-house capabilities allowed us to cut the cable to length, swage the ends for secure attachment of the fittings, 1/8” thick black PVC coating.

Quality assurance involved careful measurement of assembly length and swage dimensions as part of the first article, in-process, and final inspections.

The Results

We completed this custom project in only one week’s time. In the field, this wire rope is neat and out-of-the-way while at rest. Our use of high-quality materials combined with our expert craftsmanship ensures it will always return to its original coiled shape.
